A decade inside elite sport

With a sport science background and more than a decade working alongside Olympic athletes, Nick Stratton has built his career inside high-performance environments where every decision, every detail, and every mindset shift matters. As a performance analyst, he has supported elite competitors across sports ranging from swimming to judo.

Through his work, Nick witnessed firsthand that mental toughness isn't something athletes are simply born with โ€” it's something they can train. It's a skill set. A toolbox. A competitive advantage available to every young athlete who learns how to use it.

"I believe The Athlete's Edge is an inspiring and accessible book that truly emphasizes how important the mental aspect is in sports. The advice is practical and concrete, with exercises such as self-assessments, visualization, and 'reset' routines that make it easy for young athletes to actually apply the advice in everyday life."

"Natural talent can give you a head start, but it doesn't guarantee you'll cross the finish line first. Bodies get tired, skills fade, records are broken. But a trained mind? That sticks with you for life."
